To prepare for this celebratory event, our creative team curated custom costuming and choreography to match the client’s party atmosphere and white aesthetic. And, once the party started, our seasoned performers hit the stage for an evening to be remembered for years to come. To top it off, our expert Musical Director arranged a setlist for our Jazz Noire Band that complimented the evening and clientele.

So, what do you get when the 5 piece Jazz Noire band meets Alice In Wonderland you may ask?!

 Picture this: Our beautiful lead singer with a mid-length, red sequin dress with black/red hearts, spades, cloves, and diamonds to represent The Queen of Hearts. Our saxophone player with a shimmering navy blue blazer made the perfect Caterpillar, where instead of a hookah, we’d have him playing Jazz versions of all of your favorite Disney/Pop tunes. Next, we have our bass player with long gray hair and an elegant top hat with safari pins to bring together the perfect look for our Mad Hatter! For our sly and cunning Cheshire Cat, we couldn’t think of a better person to represent this character than our Jazz Noire drummer, who can always keep the party exciting with his cunning tempos and drum fills. Last but certainly not least, our piano player wore a white blazer covered in rose motifs with a silver pocket watch, custom engraved with the phrase “I’m Late” to represent the perfect White Rabbit. 

It was so important to the client that the theme of this event was represented subtly and it didn’t feel too “costumey”, and that is really where the Noire costuming team really thrives. We wanted it to feel like the band really blended into the theme of the event and makes a huge impact!

Our team worked on creating the best musical selection to match the villainous theme. The song list included jazzy renditions of Bad Guy (Billie Eilish), My Prerogative (Bobby Brown), and of course we couldn’t forget how perfect Jazz Noire would perform the classic song from 101 Dalmatians, Cruella De Vil. 

Not only did the musical arrangements have to fit the style of the shoot, but of course, we also took the time to make sure our costuming matched the theme! The black and white vintage style matched not only the theme perfectly, but the space as well. This is always our primary goal when creating custom live entertainment for events: to create a subtle balance between the music and look so that the band pops and blends into the space simultaneously.
